F&W Forestry Expands Operations In Maine
F&W Forestry Services, Inc., one of the nation’s oldest and largest forest management and consulting firms operating 19 offices across the country, is expanding its footprint in Maine through the acquisition of Two Trees Forestry. The move strengthens F&W’s presence in the state and reinforces its commitment to high-quality, client-centric forestry services.
Founded in 1984, Two Trees is a well-respected provider of comprehensive forest management services to private landowners and municipalities across central and southern Maine. As part of the transition, Two Trees will retain its name and Harold Burnett, the company’s longtime owner, will continue to run the business, operating out of the Winthrop office. Clients will work with the same foresters.
“As I began planning for retirement, it was important to find a partner that shares our environmental ethics, professional standards, and dedication to client service,” says Burnett. “F&W aligns perfectly with our values, and I believe our clients will experience a seamless transition with no disruption to the service they’ve come to expect.”
F&W, established in 1962, provides high-quality, comprehensive forest management services to a diverse landowner base—including timber sales, management plans, property management, field support services, forest inventory and mapping, forestland accounting, technical and analytical services, real estate, and natural capital.
F&W currently manages more than 40,000 acres of Maine forestland through its Montpelier, Vt. office. This strategic acquisition reflects the company’s ongoing investment in delivering top-tier forest management at the local level and expanding its impact across the U.S.
