Minnesota TPA Now Offering Member Medical Health Benefit
The Minnesota Timber Producers Assn. (TPA) is partnering with CapCare and Amalgamated Local 426 Member Benefit Program to give TPA members the opportunity to offer healthcare benefits to their employees. According to a report in the TPA “Timber Bulletin” newsletter, the Amalgamated Local 426 program is an invite-only, not an employer-sponsored health plan, but is a member benefit offered through an affiliated organization such as TPA, and participants access the program by becoming an associate member of Amalgamated Local 426.
TPA President Kelly Kimball says the move is “an exciting opportunity” for TPA members: “Offering health benefits to our employees has long been a challenge. We think this will be extremely helpful in attracting and retaining folks who work in the woods.”
