Ponsse Celebrates ’55/30’ Anniversary In Rhinelander
Celebrating dual anniversaries—55 years in business and 30 years in North America—Ponsse invited many friends and customers to its North American headquarters in Rhinelander, Wis. for a day of festivities and fundraising that delivered more than $30,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network while commemorating the company’s success. In addition to fundraising, the event included live demos of not only the latest in Ponsse’s logging technology but also some of the first machines that the company brought to North America 30 years ago.
Attendees enjoyed games, giveaways, live music and great food. The crowd included many from Ponsse’s home office in Vierema, Finland. Ponsse board member Juha Vidgren said the celebration is important to customers and Ponsse personnel alike: “It’s very important to us, because we have such a long history here. We have met our customers over the years, and a lot of memories are coming on the mind, meeting the people. So, the more we meet face-to-face, the more we understand the market.”
