Students Thank OLC Foundation
Students at Pleasant Hill High School in Oregon recently presented a custom designed maple burl, laser engraved by the students in the Career and Technical Education program as a plaque of appreciation to the Oregon Logging Conference Foundation for the fourth annual high school career day held at this year’s OLC in February. More than 80 students from Pleasant Hill attended. The career day, targeting older high school students who will soon begin making career choices, has grown since it was first introduced four years ago and now promotes a variety of careers in the forest products industry in addition to logging.
